Westwood Capital partners with investors and entrepreneurs to drive the growth and success of their companies in Brazil.

Our investment thesis includes startups in a wide range of industries in the angel, pre-seed, and seed investment rounds.

We look for companies with innovative and scalable business models, a qualified and engaged team committed to growing the company, and a clear vision of how they will use the resources to accelerate business growth.

Founders must have already validated the company’s business model and the startup should be making at least R$ 30,000 in monthly revenue.

The investment ranges from R$ 250,000 to R$ 1 million and can be boosted by the media portfolio of Grupo Ric Paraná, in the media-for-equity format.

In addition to the capital provided, we work with our invested companies offering mentoring, management support, and access to a wide network of contacts.

We welcome co-investment opportunities with other groups and venture capital firms.

Georges Kalache Netto

General Partner

Georges Kalache Netto is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Westwood Capital.

He has extensive knowledge in investment analysis and portfolio management. With over 10 years of experience in large multinational companies, he has worked sourcing and developing new businesses, preparing market research, economic / financial / equity research (valuation), mergers and acquisitions, fundraising for investments with domestic and international investors and issuance of shares (IPO) in the Brazilian Stock Exchange.

Georges holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the FAE Business School, has a Certificate in Finance from the University of California - Berkeley and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of California - Los Angeles, both awarded with honors; and holds the National Certification of Investment Professionals from APIMEC - Association of Capital Market Investment Analysts and Professionals.
